Colours of Nagaland at Surajkund crafts mela

Designer collection inspired from the intricate cloth art of Nagaland was one of the highlights at the 34th edition of Surajkund International Crafts Mela.
The fashion show of Ritu Beri's designer outfits themed 'Naturally Northeast: The Naga Narrrative' was organized in the packed amphitheatre. Visitors appreciated the glimpses of Nagaland and its vibrant tribal culture.A captivating, rhythmic, Naga dance that set the tone for the event. The Northeastern fashion statement did click with the crowd.
Besides the colours, patterns, and fabrics of Naga tribes, the show also displayed artistic power of the tribal mind. In another fashion show lined up for Sunday, Ritu will come out with dresses inspired by the life and culture of Himachal Pradesh. Uzbekistan is partner country for Surajkund Mela, while Himachal Pradesh is theme state. The Surajkund Mela Authority and Haryana Tourism are co-organizers with the Union ministries of tourism, textiles, and culture.
