Clean & Clear Delhi Times Fresh Face 2011 grand finale

If you’ve been wondering why it’s still so warm in Delhi, this might be the reason. On Friday, the temperature went up considerably – the city’s hottest fuchchas were crowned that day, after all!
Nonika Sharma of Lady Irwin College and Somendra Solanki of Khalsa College were the stars of the evening as they were announced the winners at the finale of the Clean & Clear Delhi Times Fresh Face 2011 at DLF Promenade Mall, Vasant Kunj.
Nitibha Kaul of CBS and Vikramjeet Singh Bhattal of Hindu College were announced the first runners-up, while Vidushi Kaul of NIFT and Devavrata Ronsa of Amity University were the second runners-up. The judges – an eminent panel comprising actor Nikhil Dwivedi, telly personality Ayushmann Khurrana, FDCI president Sunil Sethi, designers Gauri and Nainika Karan and Namrata Joshipura, Delhi Times editor Anshul Chaturvedi, and Radio Mirchi RJs Stutee and Rohit – were as excited as the crowd gathered there. But no one was more ecstatic than the winners themselves – after all, this win came on the heels of a long and tough two-month long selection process.
In the first phase, winners were selected from various Delhi colleges, and they underwent a round of voting on itimes.com. This was followed by selection interviews, which led to the shortlisting of the finalists. After their makeovers and a glam photoshoot, these finalists again went through a round of online voting on itimes.com, and in a shouting, screaming, exciting finale on Friday, it all came together.
