Lakshmi Gopalaswamy’s bharatanatyam recital at the capital city

As part of 42nd edition of the annual Soorya Festival, veteran dancer and actress Lakshmi Gopalaswamy mesmerised the crowd with her elegant bharatanatyam performance. The event under the Soorya Dance and Music festival became a crowd puller as the ace dancer Lakshmi Gopalaswami performed at the fete held at Tagore Theatre. She began her performance with a lyrical composition of Muthayya Bhagavathar on goddess Bhuvaneshwari, mother of universe.The dancer narrated the emotions of the bhaktha who offers her prayers to the goddess who is the manifestation of knowledge and shakthi. The performance was a visual treat for art enthusiasts in the city.
