Saturdays night-long Sabrang Sangeet Sammelan was an eventful affair.
What was heartening to note was Jayati Bagchis announcement that the state government has agreed to give a pension for the aged jaltarang and santoor player, Dulal Roy. This year, the trust has donated Rs 2,25,000 for providing free medical care to a few aged musicians.
While the audience enjoyed Arshad Ali Khans khayal rendition, Jaya Seal Ghosh surprised all with a solo Bharatnatyam recital.
