In the last couple of weeks, the country has come together in large numbers to make contributions for those in
Kerala as part of their flood relief. And colleges in the city have taken up the cause and are doing their bit for it, too. Last week, as part of their annual intercollegiate fest Panaah, students from different faculties of KPB Hinduja College of Commerce organised a donation drive.

The students distributed food packets including biscuits and other items of daily necessities like clothes, sanitary napkins, among other things. Speaking on the initiative, Muskan Jain, a SYBMM student from the college, says, “Contributing towards social causes through means of our college festivals is a great way to get everyone together and contribute. I’m glad we could do our bit in showing that humanity still exists.” The youngsters also made personal contributions towards the cause. Manthan Mehta, a second year BMM student from the college, said, “My heart goes out to the people of Kerala. I have decided to make a personal donation to help those in need. We should help out in whatever capacity we can.”
