Amid collective applause, shutterbugs going berserk with their cameras and impatient fans wanting a closer look at stars, filmmaker Tanuja Chandra arrived with actor Mahima Chaudhury for the the premiere show of their crossover film Hope and a Little Sugar.
After the rave reviews the film has got, the actor-director duo chose to connect with the guests in an informal setting. "You know, we don't believe in showing attitude and we can connect with people even without any formal settings," said Tanuja giggling. Actor Mahima Chaudhury dressed in a golden embroidered saree, looking her best nodded in agreement. Even as she was receiving compliments on how she manages to look the 'yummy mummy,' she got engrossed in talking about the film. When somebody asked her if this was her comeback film she said, "I had never really left Planet Bollywood, so I am not making a comeback. I was here all along. I just choose to do fewer films." Accompanying Mahima and Tanuja was newcomer Amit Sial who stars as the male lead in the film opposite Mahima. The event was an initiative by an Ahmedabad-based pharma company. Looks like the city is getting its share of 'red carpet' parties with a successful synergy between corporates and films.
