After years of low-profile premieres and film releases, Gollywood in its 75th year saw a red-carpet premiere of the much awaited Gujarati film Gujarat No Nath, with Akhilendra Mishra in the lead role, at a city multiplex recently.
Gujarat’s shining stars Upendra Trivedi, Ila Patel, Firoz Irani, Ishwar Samikar, Jitu Pandya and Pragati Ahir along with the director and producers of the film attended the do. Filmmaker Ajit Sinh Jhala says, “The film is all about the expectations of an ideal chief minister of the state. I have attempted to portray the essential attributes like honesty and decisive power required for a eminent chief minister to lead his state towards prosperity.” Insiders reveal that the film has been inspired by none other than Chief Minister Narendra Modi! With a succession of commercially successful movies running to packed houses in the small towns of Gujarat, here’s wishing good luck to this one, too.
