Gujarati movies have improved technically: Naresh Kanodia

A person who has spent more than four decades in Gujarati films- a popular actor, singer and producer- he is no one else but veteran Gujarati actor Naresh Kanodia. Kanodia is also one of the members of legislative assembly of Gujarat. Even at this age, his energy levels and spirits are praiseworthy! Not just movies, Kanodia also made some cameos on Hindi television as well.
We ask him the reason of why most Gujarati films don't make much business, he says, "Gujaratis themselves are not interested in watching Gujarati films. If they walk into a multiplex, they prefer watching an Amitabh Bachchan movie over a movie starring me." But he adds explaining, "The mythological films ventured in the past have created an image that all Gujarati films have no urban touch."
Having seen Gujarati film industry inside out what is his opine on the point of current progress? He says, "The movies have improved tremendously on technical parts and slowly on content part too. Talk about camera set-up, great stunts, VFX or editing - we definitely have improved briskly!" He also adds that he is very optimist on the aspect that corporate film making culture will definitely improve gujarati film industry's position. And he already spots a positive change in the film industry in 2014!
