Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 52: Shraddha Kapoor starrer jumps by 70% on 8th Saturday

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2 has already completed 50 days at the box office, and though it seems to be in its final theatrical lap, it is not giving up without a fight. The film is marching ahead and has already become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. Now, it is fighting to reach the ₹600 crore mark, aiming to become the first-ever Hindi film in the ₹600 crore club.

In its seven-week run, the film has already earned ₹591.95 crore. On its 8th Friday, Stree 2 stayed steady, collecting ₹50 lakh, similar to Thursday's figures. However, the film witnessed a 70% jump on Saturday, earning ₹85 lakh, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. This brings the film's total collection to ₹593.30 crore, leaving it with less than ₹7 crore to achieve the magical ₹600 crore milestone.

This could be the last week of a free run for the film, as from October 10th onwards, it will face stiff competition. On the 10th, Rajinikanth's film Vettaiyan will release, and on the 11th, Alia Bhatt's Jigra will hit the screens, starring Vedang Raina. Additionally, Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video will also release. Audiences have been craving new content for a while, and all three upcoming films are highly anticipated.
Stree 2 also features Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Pankaj Tripathi, with special appearances by Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, and Tamannaah Bhatia. Directed by Amar Kaushik and written by Niren Bhatt, the film's makers are reportedly considering a spin-off focused on Shraddha Kapoor’s character, exploring the backstory of her life and her relationship with Stree.
