Popular Bollywood actress Himani Shivpuri has been booked for cheating an Indore-based film director by Vijay Nagar police on late Tuesday night following the directive of a local court. According to the complainant, film director Mohammad Ali son of Gammu Baksh had entered into a contract with the actress for acting in his film on March 23, 2011. The director, according to the FIR, had hired the services of the actress for Rs 25 lakh, and had made part payments of Rs 1 lakh, 1.5 lakh and 2.5 lakh over time to Himani Shivpuri as an advance amount.

When the director asked back his payment, she did not only allegedly refuse to return the money but also allegedly threatened him of dire consequences, if he persistently demanded the money back. Mohammad Ali then moved the court, which in turn directed the police to lodge an FIR against the actress under section 420, 506 and 294.
