Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 3 - The Rampage' CONFIRMED for 2028 release - Deets Inside

Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 set the box office ablaze last December with a record-breaking run. Now, the blockbuster franchise, believed to be a trilogy, is gearing up for its next adrenaline-fueled chapter. The highly anticipated Pushpa 3 – The Rampage has been tentatively slated for a worldwide release in 2028, as confirmed by the film’s producers on Sunday, sparking excitement among fans.
The previous instalment, Pushpa 2 – The Rule, which premiered in December last year, was a massive success at the global box office, raking in nearly Rs 1,750 crore and securing its place as one of India's biggest blockbusters.
During a media interaction, producer Ravi Shankar revealed that the third instalment will arrive in 2028 as leading man Allu Arjun will first have to wrap up his collaboration with director Atlee and then work on a film with Trivikram. Both projects are expected to be completed within the next two years.
Meanwhile, Pushpa director Sukumar will be directing superstar Ram Charan in his next project before shifting focus to Pushpa 3, as confirmed by Ravi Shankar. Allu Arjun will collaborate with director Trivikram Srinivas for their fourth film together, following hits like 'Julayi', 'S/o Satyamurthy', and 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo'. On the other hand, Allu Arjun is expected to work with director Atlee on a pan-India project.
Film dialogue writer Srikanth Vissa revealed in a recent chat that the third movie would be much 'bigger, grander, and better' than Pushpa 2. The film will introduce audiences to more characters. The makers are reportedly trying to rope in a big Bollywood star to play the role of the antagonist in the film, but are still awaiting confirmation.
The Pushpa franchise began in 2021 with Pushpa – The Rise, which grossed over Rs 350 crore worldwide. The film went on to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films of the year, thus helping the makers to take the story forward with a sequel. Pushpa 2 stormed the box office, securing a record-breaking opening and becoming the third-highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
With Pushpa 3 on the horizon, it is safe to say that expectations are sky-high for the final chapter.
