Bobby Deol reveals how his mother Prakash Kaur stood by his father Dharmendra: ‘He has lived the way he wanted to’

Bobby Deol recently spoke about the profound influence of his father, Bollywood legend Dharmendra, in shaping his life. The 'Animal' actor credited both his parents—Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur—for instilling strong values in him. He also acknowledged his wife, Tanya Deol, for being his pillar of support throughout his journey.
While discussing his father’s life, Bobby admired how Dharmendra had always stayed true to himself despite personal and professional challenges. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, when asked who among their family had lived life to the fullest, he responded, “I think my dad. He has lived the way he wanted to. I think the Frank Sinatra song ‘My Way’ really suits him. It’s like him, you know.”

The 89-year-old actor Dharmendra continues to captivate audiences with his charm. His fans, many of whom still gather outside his residence, have remained devoted over the years. Bobby spoke about the enduring love his father has received. He praised Dharmendra for always treating people with warmth and humility, valuing genuine connections over stardom. He credited his father’s kindness and sincerity as the reason behind the enduring love for the Deol family.

Bobby also shared a valuable lesson he learned from Dharmendra about staying grounded. He noted that despite being surrounded by admiration, Dharmendra never let it change him, which deeply inspired him. He remained humble and true to himself, a quality Bobby greatly admires.
He further emphasised that his upbringing was not solely influenced by his father but also by the strong women in his life, including his mother and grandmother. He expressed gratitude to his wife, Tanya, who has been a constant source of support, much like his mother was for his father. “It’s not just my dad’s contribution. It’s my mother, my grandmother, and after I got married, it has been my wife. She has really been there and stood right next to me through good and bad times, just as my mother stood by my dad. My biggest strength is my wife, Tanya. She has believed in me and always told me that I am special,” he stated.
On the work front, Bobby Deol was last seen in the Telugu action film Daaku Maharaj. He has multiple projects lined up, including Alpha from the YRF Spy Universe, the Tamil political drama Jana Nayagan, and an upcoming comedy thriller directed by Priyadarshan.
