Cheran is back to what he does best. Making sentimental family stories on relationships.The shooting of his Pokkisham has started in Gobichettipalayam, Kollywood's favourite village location.
It also brings together Cheran and his favourite heroine Padmapriya, after Thavamai Thavamirunthu. The grapevine is abuzz that Pokkisham is a sequel to his Autograph, but the director-cum-actor has denied it.
It has music by Sabesh Murali and camera by Rajesh Yadav.
Cheran is also trying to bring in fresh characters from the stage and television as the supporting cast.
The film will be shot in Gobichettipalayam, Pollachi and Kolkata. Actually, Kolkata will play a crucial part in the film, and Cheran is roping in some local artistes from Tollygunj.
Music will be one of the highlights of the film and the buzz is that Sabesh Murali is looking at the old tracks of Kolkata Maestro Salil Chowdhary.
The film is being produced by the lucky producer of Kollywood, Hitesh Jhabak, who has churned out hits like Anjaathey and Pandi.
