Veteran Hindi and Marathi film-theatre actor
Viju Khote passed away on Monday due to multiple organ failure. The noted actor, who is quite popular for the roles he played on celluloid, was aged 77. With a career spanning around six decades and more than 300 films to his credit, Khote is a well-known face.
The actor is remembered for playing the dacoit Kalia in "Sholay" and Robert in "Andaz Apna Apna".
The last rites of the actor were performed at Chandan Wadi and with several celebs from Bollywood as well as television fraternity gracing the event to bid adieu to the veteran actor.
Several Bollywood celebs and filmmakers across the nation also took to their social media handles to mourn the demise of the Khote
Not only on the big screens, but the actor is also popular for his successful stint in television and Marathi theatre. The actor has been working in the film industry since 1964. Khote breathed his last at his home in South Mumbai due to multiple organ failure.
