The cast of
Shah Rukh Khan and
Suhana Khan's upcoming film 'King' just got bigger with reports of actor
Arshad Warsi joining the much-anticipated action-thriller.
According to the latest buzz, Warsi is the latest addition to the cast and will reportedly play a pivotal role in the film, though details and specifics about his character are currently being kept under wraps. This project will mark the first time that Arshad will share screen space with SRK since he has made a cameo in his 2005 film 'Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye'. However, this will be Warsi's first full-fledged role opposite Khan.
This will also be Khan's first acting stint with long-time friend Abhishek Bachchan who is rumoured to play the antagonist in the film. The movie will also star
Abhay Verma in a leading role.
Directed by Pathaan filmmaker
Siddharth Anand, King has been generating buzz ever since its announcement. Currently in its pre-production stage, the film is expected to go on floors in July. While the team has remained tight-lipped about specifics of the film, Khan assured fans that "it will be entertaining, and you'll enjoy it!"
While he was at it, he also described the film as a "massy action-drama."
According to reports, the film is currently eyeing a release next year, mid-2026. This film will also be special for Suhana as it not only marks her first project with her dad, but also, her first theatrical release, after making her Bollywood debut with the digital release of her movie 'The Archies'.
