Chetan Anand's 'Heer Raanjha' to return?

Ketan Anand, son of filmmaker Chetan Anand, plans to remake his father’s 1970 classic, 'Heer Raanjha', featuring Raaj Kumar and Priya Rajvansh in the lead. "It’s a revised version, my brother and I have been working on the script for the last six months."

"The original was inspired by a poem written by Kaifi Azmi which gave my father the idea of making a film with dialogues spoken in verse.

We will incorporate that vision and our film too will be both prose and poetry," he informs.

He goes on to reveal that he will be directing and is already in talks with actors. "We will go on the floors next year," said Ketan.
He had earlier planned to bring his father’s black-and-white war drama, Haqeeqat, back to the theatres in colour. What’s the status quo on that? "Trying to push it as well," he said.
