Jisshu Sengupta to play Vidya Balan’s on-screen husband in Shakuntala Devi biopic

According to a media report, talented Bengali star Jisshu Sengupta has been roped in to play Vidya Balan’s on-screen husband in Shakuntala Devi biopic. Sengupta was last seen in a Hindi film playing the role of Maharaja Gangadhar Rao in 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'. Sanya Malhotra has also been roped in to play the role of Shakuntala Devi’s daughter.

Vidya Balan might be away from the silver screen but the National award-winning actress has her kitty full with some great projects like NTR biopic, 'Mission Mangal' and mathematician Shakuntala Devi's biopic.
According to a report in DNA, talented Bengali star Jisshu Sengupta has been roped in to play Vidya’s on-screen husband in Shakuntala Devi biopic. The report further suggested that the makers of the film found Sengupta to be the perfect math for the film as he hails from Kolkata.

This is not the first time that the talented Bengali actor will be seen in a Hindi film as he was last seen in 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' on the silver screen.
Not only Sengupta but even Sanya Malhotra has been roped in to play the role of Shakuntala Devi’s daughter Anupama Banerjee in the film which is being helmed by Anu Menon.
