Contrary to rumours, Kunal Khemu is in no rush to marry Soha
“I know my limitations as an actor. There are roles that I can’t do,” declares Kunal Khemu, “There have been films I have said no to and there are roles that I wish I had done.”
Strong words coming fron an actor who has dabbled in everything from comedy (Golmaal 3) to drama (Traffic Signal) and now, the romantic thriller Blood Money.He has been involved in his latest project, since the scripting stage. “I was drawn to the subject of diamonds and the whole corporate nexus. It's a romantic thriller that mixes the seriousness of the subject with an edge-of-the-seat story.”
“Kissing on screen isn’t easy” he muses, “I have done it in my first film, but you have to realise its the character not you who is performing the act.”
On the personal front, he insists he is in no hurry to marry girlfriend Soha Ali Khan. “We are very open about our relationship. But there’s always the obvious next big step that we keep getting asked about. At the moment, we are in a happy place and there’s no engagement or wedding being planned.”
Does Soha object to his on-screen lovemaking scenes? “I have to specially discuss those scenes with her! I make sure that she’s aware of those scenes!”
