Mouni Roy on cosmetic surgery rumours: At some point I will talk about it
Actress Mouni Roy has been facing a barrage of unsolicited comments about her alleged cosmetic surgeries especially on her forehead. As the actress walked for Bombay Times Fashion Week, she donned a massive maang teeka, hiding her forehead. During a brief chat with us, as we spoke about the brutality of the industry and before we could even finish the question about her reacting to the recent conversation, Mouni cuts us in and says, “This is a conversation for the next interview. And I will speak about it that much, I guarantee. At some point I will talk about it.”
Talking about her walk, Mouni states, “I'm a very nervous person, especially when it comes to walking on a ramp. I can act, and dance. I'm very cool with it. The moment you say you have to walk the ramp, I get very nervous.” Adding more about the nerves especially being a public figure she adds, “It always is challenging. But I think nerves are good. You just have to channelize your energies in the right way. I love stage. So, my nerves are before and after. I'm okay on stage.”
The actress who has played mythical characters such as naagin in the eponymous show, a witch in Brahamastra and now in a ghost in her next, doesn’t feel that she is being typecasted. “I don't mind it. I don't think there is any caging. I. I chose what I do. I pick up my projects. I'm a person who will know instinctively within the 20 minutes of me reading a script whether I want to be a part of the story or not. It's always about the story for me... It's always about the story and the plot. If you give me something where the story doesn't appeal to me and I feel like it has no heart, I can't add anything to it or it's not bringing out my versatility, I wouldn't want to do it. It should challenge me. Everything should challenge you. It should make you grow as a person, as an actor, you know.”
