Om Puri’s wife Nandita and son Ishaan have launched a YouTube channel in memory of the late actor and they picked his birth anniversary to announce the news. On Om Puri’s 70^th birth anniversary, his family released a video on their channel ‘Puri Baatein’. The ten-minute long clip gives an insight about the late actor, with several rare family pictures and unseen moments.

From being a helper at a tea stall at the age of six to pursuing his passion for acting and his experience at the National School of Drama – this first video of Puri Baatein gives an amazing glimpse of Om Puri’s journey.According to a news portal, Om Puri’s son Ishaan has also made a short film on the late actor and the same will debut on the YouTube channel. Backed by Om Puri Foundation, the channel promises to feature friends, family and filmmakers from Hollywood and Bollywood, who will share their insights about the legendary actor.
Om Puri was born on October 18, 1950, in Punjab. He was known for his performance in hits like ‘Ardh Satya ‘, ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’, and ‘Aakrosh’ to name a few. Om Puri passed away on January 6, 2017, in Mumbai.
