Kapoor played a very important role in the history of Bollywood. The legacy goes back to Prithviraj Kapoor, who started his career with silent films 'Do Dhari Talwar', 'Cinema Girl', 'Sher-e-Arab' and 'Prince Vijaykumar'. Today marks the 49th death anniversary of Rishi Kapoor's grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor and he took to his Twitter profile to share a picture remembering the founder of the Kapoor clan.

He shared a major throwback black-and-white picture and captioned the post as, ''To the man who left us today 49 years back. My grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor.'' As soon as the actor shared the post, netizens showered love on the post through their comments.
