Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have been provided temporary police protection post attack on the actor

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed at his own house during an attempt at burglary which took place on January 16. The actor was stabbed six times and rushed to Lilavati hospital where he underwent a surgery. Saif is back home and doing fine but they have amped up their security now. Ronit Roy's company is now handling Saif's security and taking care of the family's protection. One also saw CCTV cameras being installed at their house and building now.

Meanwhile, now, it's also known that the police is providing temporary protection to Saif, Kareena and their kids. They have been provided two constables each who will ensure their safety when they go outdoors, said the police. Further more, the Bandra police station has also increased vigil and patrolling, both on foot and using vehicles in the high profile locality of Bandra where most actors reside. Even the visitor spots will be monitered on an hourly basis.
Deputy commissioner of Police, Dikshit Gedam said, "Bandra west is sage. There are five beats of police stations in the area which conduct round the clock patrolling, including visiting major spots on an hourly basis, said a senior police officer.
The police is yet to record Saif's statement, who has just been discharged on Tuesday The test identification parade of the accused is also pending.
The accused who has been arrested by the police is a found to be a Bangladeshi and his name is Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammed Rohilla Amin Fakir. He was taken to Saif's house in Bandra again for recreating a crime scene.
