We spoke to actress Sayani Gupta, who was recently in the capital for the premier of her film. A Kolkata girl who’s now based in Mumbai, she has had her taste of Dilli as well.

Those were the best days of my life. Sarojini Nagar market used to be my second home. But more importantly, that phase changed my world view and I fell in love with the city,” she said.
In college, Sayani was part of the dance, drama, debating and music societies.
“I loved the theatre culture of the city. But somehow, I didn’t want to join NSD as I was more interested in the practical part than the theoretical,” she said. Post college, Sayani took up a sales and marketing job at private firm in Qutab Institutional Area so that she could continue with theatre and dance. She has also worked on projects with theatre veteran MK Raina in Delhi.
