Shabana Azmi lauds 'Beyond The Clouds' director Majid Majidi, presents him an award

‘Beyond the Clouds’ film starring Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan has created immense buzz ahead of its release. Recently during an event, movie lovers were given the opportunity to watch Majid Majidi’s ‘Children of Heaven’ which was even nominated for the Oscars in 1998. Currently in India to promote his upcoming film, Majid Majidi got a chance to interact with his Indian fans at the Matterden Theatre in Mumbai.
The audience had a full-fledged open forum discussion with the talented filmmaker where they engaged with him about his cinematic ideology, his vision for the future, his experience making the 1998 Oscar nominated film and of course making his first ever film in India.
The key highlight of the evening was when veteran actress Shabana Azmi felicitated Majid Majidi with the Enlighten Award that celebrates artists who propel human stories and faith through cinema. Shabana also recently took to Twitter to laud ‘Beyond the Clouds’ and described how she was in complete awe of the film.
