Fans eagerly awaiting
Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action drama 'King' might have to wait a little longer, as the film’s shoot has reportedly been postponed.
According to Bollywood Hungama, originally expected to go on floors in March 2025, the production is now likely to begin only in June. The delay is attributed to director
Siddharth Anand, who is currently fine-tuning the script to ensure the film meets high expectations.
Given Anand’s past collaboration with SRK on 'Pathaan', the team reportedly is aiming to elevate the standards of action storytelling. The filmmaker is taking extra time to ensure everything is set on paper before rolling cameras. The film, which will be shot across India and Europe, is being backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix, promising a grand cinematic experience. The makers are reportedly targeting a theatrical release by the end of 2026.
Adding to the excitement, 'King' will mark the big-screen debut of Suhana Khan, who plays a lead role alongside her father. Munjya star Abhay Verma has also been roped in for a crucial role.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan recently attended an event at the Global Village in Dubai, where he entertained the audience by performing some of his most iconic songs and engaging in interactive moments. During the event, he also spoke briefly about his upcoming film 'King'.
While discussing the project, SRK mentioned that filming is not limited to Dubai but will also take place in Mumbai in the coming months. He acknowledged that director Siddharth Anand, known for 'Pathaan', is quite strict about maintaining secrecy around the film’s details. According to him, Anand has instructed him not to reveal much about the project.
However, SRK assured fans that the film will be an entertaining experience and that they can expect a fun-filled cinematic treat.
