Shahid Kapoor's next project 'Jersey': Here's all you need to know about the South remake

After a scintillating performance in 'Kabir Singh', Shahid Kapoor has proven his mantle in the Industry. The talented actor has now bagged another Hindi remake of a blockbuster Telugu film 'Jersey' which is going to be helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who has also directed the original one.
Struggles of an aspiring cricketer
After a lot of speculations, the actor has given his nod to the sports drama which featured South superstar Nani is the lead role.The Telugu flick revolves around the life of a cricketer showcasing the struggles and failures that he faces while trying to make it to the Indian cricket team.
Massive budget?
According to sources, Shahid has charged nearly Rs 35 crore for the film along with a 30 per cent profit share which makes this Hindi remake his biggest paycheck.
Leading lady?
While the original film marked the debut of Shraddha Srinath in Telegu cinema, fans have already started speculating as to who will romance Shahid.
High on emotions
Apart from the film being a sports drama, 'Jersey' also gives us a glimpse of the lead character's personal life and the issues that arise in his marriage due to a failed career. Apart from that Tinnanuri's directorial also showcases Nani's character Arjun's passion and hard work despite being aware of his health issues and how he manages to help his team win the Ranji Trophy in tough conditions.
While the Telugu version of 'Jersey' also featured Harish Kalyan, Viswant Duddumpudi, Sathyaraj and others in pivotal roles, we are eager to know the supporting cast of 'Jersey'.
