Bollywood actors
Sidharth Malhotra and
Kiara Advani, who are creating a lot of buzz in the town owing to their alleged relationship, have wrapped up the shoot of their next, ‘Shershaah’. The film is inspired by Captain Vikram Batra and is based on the life of the Indian Army Officer.
The official handle of Dharma Productions shared a few pictures on
Instagram and announced film’s wrap.
The post read, “That's a wrap on #Shershaah! All the colours of courage & bravery are ready to be painted on the big screen, watch out for the first look! @sidmalhotra @kiaraaliaadvani #VishnuVaradhan @karanjohar #HirooJohar @apoorva1972 @kaashent @shabbirboxwalaofficial @ajay1059 @harrygandhi”
In one of the pictures, Sidharth can be seen posing at a scenic location.
Earlier, it was reported that the success of 'Marjaavaan' encouraged him to give his best for his dream project. According to a tabloid, the actor reportedly monitored the script of the biopic for three years before pitching it to producers. He feels that 'Shershaah' will have a stronger pan-India appeal than 'Marjaavaan' as it is based on an army hero.
Sidharth was involved with the story of the biopic, right from the beginning. He reportedly met up with Captain Batra's family, including his twin brother Vishal Batra a number of times. In fact, they were the ones who approached him to play the part of their son.
Apart from Sidharth and Kiara, the film also stars
Javed Jaffrey,
Paresh Rawal and Himanshu Malhotra in pivotal roles. Directed by Vishnuvardhan, 'Shershaah' is slated for 2020 release. The film has been shot across Chandigarh, Palampur, Kashmir, and Ladakh.
