Sunny Deol's son, Rajveer Deol, shares insights on his Bollywood debut "Dono" and his father's reaction

The Deol family has carved an indelible mark in the world of Indian cinema, with stalwarts like Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol gracing the silver screen with their iconic performances.
Now, it appears that the torch is set to be passed to the younger generation of Deols as Sunny Deol's son, Rajveer Deol, gears up to make his Bollywood debut in the upcoming film "Dono."
In a recent interview, Rajveer shed light on what he has learned from his family and discussed his father's reaction to his maiden cinematic venture.
During a conversation with India Today, the budding actor opened up about his father, the legendary Gadar star Sunny Deol, and how he reacted to Rajveer's debut in "Dono." Rajveer expressed his happiness and mentioned that he never really had a specific conversation with Sunny about pursuing an acting career. He shared that it always felt like a natural progression for him, and his family was supportive of his decision. In fact, Sunny Deol conveyed his relief to director Avnish Barjatya, stating, "My son can act."
Reflecting on the valuable lessons he has absorbed by observing his family's journey in the film industry, Rajveer emphasised the importance of leaving work at the door when returning home. He believes that carrying work home can unnecessarily extend the workday. Rajveer also acknowledged the significance of establishing his unique identity in the industry, not feeling pressured to emulate his father, grandfather, or uncles. He understands that creating his distinctive mark in the industry is a gradual process, and he is determined to chart his path with authenticity.
Directed by Avnish Barjatya, son of acclaimed filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya, "Dono" marks the debut not only of Rajveer Deol but also of Paloma Dhillon, daughter of veteran actress Poonam Dhillon. Slated for release on October 5th, 2023, "Dono" promises to explore the realms of romance, relationships, and matters of the heart, setting the stage for the promising debut of Rajveer Deol.
