Tanishaa Mukerji reveals Kajol did not watch 'Neal 'n' Nikki' due to kissing scenes, started dating Uday Chopra during the film's shoot

Tanishaa Mukerji started her acting career in 2003 in ‘Sssshhh…’ but it took another two years for her to get a lead role in a 2005 movie ‘Neal 'n' Nikki’ opposite Uday Chopra. The movie could not satisfy critics and viewers then, and it could not help the actress push her career further.
In a recent conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Tanishaa said that there were too many on-screen kissing shots, and her sister Kajol has not watched the movie till today.She suggests her friends’ kids watch it after growing up, and she added that she would have done better if she were offered the movie now. She further added that she could not get involved in that back then while acting in it.

Directed by Arjun Sablok, ‘Neal ‘n’ Nikki’ was a comedy-drama. It narrates the story of a young girl who initiates a patch-up with her ex-boyfriend with the intention to dump him. Tanishaa and Uday were in a relationship, and she did not find it uncomfortable to kiss him on-screen. Uday and Tanishaa met on the sets of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ for the first time. Uday was assisting his brother Aditya Chopra, the director of the movie.

However, Tanishaa and Uday put an end to their relationship after two years. Tanishaa is a mentor on the dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa'.
