Laxman Utekar's Chhawa, starring
Vicky Kaushal in the titular role, will go on floors in October this year. However, before starting the shoot, the actors are undergoing rigorous training sessions. Right from the dialect and style to horse riding and various archery skills, the actors are not leaving any stone unturned to get into the skin of the characters.
A source close to the production informed ETimes, "These days Vicky Kaushal, along with some other actors, is undergoing training for horse riding in the Mumbai suburbs."
"A well known Marathi actor
Santosh Juvekar, who has worked in popular Marathi films like 'Fakt Ladh Mhana', 'Rege' will play a pivotal role in this Utekar's directorial," added the source.
Santosh also did Manoj Bajpayee starrer 'Bhonsle' in 2020 and was seen in
Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Kuttey', starring Arjun Kapoor, Tabu,
Radhika Apte, and
Naseeruddin Shah.
We tried contacting Santosh Juvekar, but he remained unavailable for comment until the time of filing the article.
'Chhawa' will tell the story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's eldest son Sambhaji and his bravery.
