Bollywood star and international icon,
Priyanka Chopra made heads turn at the BAFTA Film Awards last evening. The beauty turned up the heat on the red carpet in a risqué fiery red embroidered jacket which she paired with ivory harem pants and a dramatic ponytail hairdo. The actress, who was a presenter for the night, arrived with husband
Nick Jonas by her side, looking dapper in a black suit and a crisp white shirt.
While strutting down the red carpet, PeeCee stopped to pose for pictures and even share details about her life in lockdown, apart from her film projects. Talking about her time in London, Priyanka said, “Since I’ve arrived in London, we’ve been in lockdown. I’ve seen a lot of parks. My dogs love it because we go to Collin Park almost every day. The dogs love it, but so do I.”
She went on to add, “I love London, I love (its) people and just being able to work. I’m grateful for it.”
When asked about her role in the upcoming ‘Matrix’ franchise, Priyanka kept her lips sealed and quipped, “It’s called ‘The Matrix 4’ and that’s pretty much it.”
Maintaining guidelines of Covid-19, Priyanka and Nick wore a black face mask and took it off only to pose for the cameras and for short interviews on the red carpet.
Chopra was the first presenter at the 74th BAFTA awards and handed out the trophy for the Best Animated film.
"Animated film characters have had a great year -- no social distancing, no quarantine. It's a great time to be a cartoon," Priyanka said, before revealing the winning film's name at London's Royal Albert Hall.
Pete Docter's ‘Soul’ was the winner in the category, beating competition from nominees such as ‘Onward’ and ‘Wolfwalkers’.
