When Akshay Kumar kept a plane on standby during Asin’s daughter Arin's birth: ‘He was the first to come’

Actress Asin, known for her performances in Bollywood films such as 'Ghajini', 'Ready', and 'Housefull 2', married entrepreneur Rahul Sharma in January 2016. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Arin Sharma, on October 24, 2017. Among those eagerly anticipating the birth of Arin was Akshay Kumar, who took extraordinary measures to be present for the occasion by arranging for a plane to be on standby to fly to Kochi, where Arin was born.
In a recent episode of cricketer Shikhar Dhawan's talk show, Dhawan Karenge, Akshay Kumar revealed the emotional bond he shares with Rahul Sharma. During the show, a heartfelt video message from Rahul was played, recounting the day of Arin's birth. He shared how Akshay had been in constant touch throughout the day, eagerly awaiting updates. “He had kept a plane on standby since morning to get there as soon as she was born. Even before my family came, he was the first to come in,” Rahul reminisced, highlighting how significant that moment was for him. He expressed his gratitude towards Akshay, stating, “I get this strength from you,” which resonated deeply with everyone present.
Akshay Kumar played a crucial role in bringing Asin and Rahul together. Their love story began when Akshay introduced them while filming ‘Khiladi 786’. Following their romance, the couple tied the knot with Akshay by their side.

Currently, he is working on ‘ Housefull 5’, featuring a star-studded cast including Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez.
