What happened to Karan Johar's 'Shiddat'?

Did you know that Karan Johar's just-released film 'Kalank' was initially titled 'Shiddat? This came to light when there were reports of the filmmaker giving away the title to producer Dinesh Vijan for his next film. The Maddock Films chief announced that his new film, starring Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Mohit Raina and Diana Penty got, is called 'Shiddat'. He also revealed to a Bollywood news site that the title belonged to KJo and that he was kind enough to give it to him.He added that the word 'shiddat' captures the essence of his film, and therefore, it was the perfect title for it.
The film, slated to release in 2020, is a story of that love and passion; it has two parallel love tracks running in it. Written by Shridhar Raghavan and Dheeraj Rattan, the film is a joint production venture between Maddock Films and T-Series.
