Academy-Award winning music composer-singer AR Rahman has been bestowed with many honours for his contribution to Indian music across the globe.

On October 26, which is the birthday of Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Chennai’s Mozart is expected to add one more trophy to his shelves.
The composer will receive the Hridaynath Mangeshkar award from filmmaker Subhash Ghai. Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle and Hindi cinema’s biggest icon, Amitabh Bachchan, have been the previous recepients of this award.
