And now, the music composer has been nominated for the ‘best background score’ category at an international music awards for Udaan that was directed by Vikramaditya Motwane.
Amit says that working with Vikram was a fabulous experience. “He is undoubtedly one of the best directors in the industry and knows what he wants.Working with him was like a dream,” says Amit. He adds, “Music helps to take the screenplay forward and there were a lot of silent moments that added to the narrative in Udaan.”
Amit has finished the background score of Michael Winterbottom’s Trishna, a film based on Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the D’Urbervilles in which he has made actor Freida Pinto dance to his rustic, folksy tunes. “I have composed five songs for the film and all the songs feature Freida,” says Amit.
