Sunidhi Chauhan wants to concentrate on her singles

Sunidhi Chauhan, who recently did a show in Ahmedabad, enjoys the high of performing live in front of an audience.
“It was electric. A six-year-old kid joined me on stage while I was singing Phatte Tak Nachna and sang along with me. During a live performance, I try to have fun on stage. The audience’s energy is infectious too,” she says.

While the songstress has a string of songs lined up this year, she is most excited about her number in Dil Dhadakne Do.“It’s something I haven’t attempted before,” she says, adding, “Thankfully, over the years, my music directors have let me display my versatility. I think an artiste shouldn’t be typecast. That’s why you’ll find me singing everything — from romantic songs to raunchy numbers to Sufi songs.”

Besides her film numbers, Sunidhi is also concentrating on her singles. She adds, “I want to do more independent albums now. Singles give you much more freedom to do what you want to do as compared to film songs. Hopefully, I’ll come out with a few singles this year.”
