As per the latest reports, young actor Abhilash, who made his debut with the 2020 hit 'Love Mocktail' has bagged his next with veteran director
Om Prakash Rao. The director of many blockbusters like 'AK 47', 'Lockup Death', and 'Huccha' is making a romantic drama this time around which stars Abhilash in the lead. The film's shoot too, reportedly, is underway and the makers are, in fact, currently in the last leg of production.
Abhilash began his acting journey as a theatre artist and is said to be a part of the Mysore Mime team.
He starred in the role of Vijay in Darling Krishna's 'Love Mocktail'. Having worked as a supporting actor in over six films to date, Abhilash is kicked about making his bonafide debut as a hero and that too with a senior director like Om Prakash Rao at the helm of things. Speaking to the same online daily, Abhilash spoke highly of the director, stating that it's a privilege to work with the man who who has previously made close to 50 films and that too with the biggest of superstars in Kannada.
Abhilash was to make his official debut with the film 'Love Baba', directed by debutant Chandan, but the shooting of the film was postponed for reasons unknown.
The untitled romantic drama is being shot entirely in Mysuru and the makers are expected to wrap up the shoot in the upcoming schedule which includes a few song sequences - the whole team will be in and around to shoot a particular song. Along with Abhilash, the film's cast comprises Aishwarya Rao,
Rangayana Raghu,
Sudha Belawadi, Achyuth Rao, and Rishi Gowda.
