After his previous films -- Mr 42O and Rajanikantha -- failed to rake up moolah at the BO, director Pradeep Raj has decided to remake the Tamil movie Manam Kothi Paravai, which had Sivakarthikeyan, Aathmiya and Ravi Mariya in the lead. The yet-to-be-titled film will see the first time pairing of Sathish Neenasam and Harshika Poonacha. The music will be scored by D
Iman, who is the music director of the original film as well.
The film will also have
Daniel Balaji in the star cast. He earlier worked with the director in
Kirataka, which was again a remake of the Tamil film
Kalavani. While the director announced that his next will be with actor
Yash (who played lead role in
Kirataka), looks like the young actor is held up with a couple of projects. Meanwhile, Pradeep has decided to take up another remake.
He says, “The subject is similar to my first movie
Kirataka and I loved the script. The project will take off in the first week of May and majority of the shooting will take place in and around Mandya. The original had a local dialect and ours will have a Mandya dialect."
