After making his Sandalwood debut with the action-packed film Bazaar, Dhanveerrah has opted for a breezy romantic entertainer as his next — By Two Love. The movie sees him sharing screen space with
Sreeleela for the first time. The project, helmed by
Hari Santhosh, is set to release this weekend.
Revealing details about his role in the movie, Dhanveerrah says, “I play
Balu, who is a huge fan of
Sachin Tendulkar.
He is from a small town and relocates to Bengaluru after some clashes in his family. He works in a matrimony office, where he falls in love with a girl who doesn’t want to be in any sort of relationship. In most love stories, the couple ends up being united or separated. But in By Two Love, the story continues with us having a baby, which will serve as a pleasant surprise for audiences. I have some comic scenes with Shivaraj K R Pete in the movie, which was quite challenging for me as I had to get the timing absolutely right.”Dhanveerrah was initially hesitant to accept the project as he wanted to do massy characters. But he says he was blown away by the script narrated by director Hari Santhosh. I underwent workshops and then thought this film would bring versatility to my filmography. After the shoot, I felt confident that I can do such roles even in future,” he shares. On working with Sreeleela, he adds, “Despite making a mark in different south Indian industries, she is simple on the set, which helped us build a strong chemistry with each other that translates on screen.”
The actor hopes to make two films in a year to make up for the time lost due to the pandemic. “Two years of my career suffered a setback, since cinema halls were shut. So, I strive to have two releases in a year from now on. I resume shooting for Vamana from March,” he signs off.
