Giriraj to make his acting debut

Sandalwood director BM Giriraj, who has garnered critical acclaim for Jatta, is making his acting debut with the film titled, Ooty. The film has Jugari Avinash in the lead role. The movie will be shot in Chamarajangara, Ooty and Mysore for 45 days.
Though it is Giriraj's acting debut in Sandalwood, acting is not new for him as he has already acted in a short film, Naavilaadavaru.Giriraj has also acted in many plays before turning to filmmaking. Another highlight of the movie is actor Mohanlal, who will be essaying the role of a scientist and Avinash is playing the role of a lover boy.
The movie is said to be based on a book penned by Pritiya Arasi. The book is about Cauvery riots which happened in 1991. Pritiya Arasi has written the dialogues for the movie.
