Karnataka Film Academy honours 'Dattanna' HJ Dattatreya at ‘Belli Hejje’

HJ Dattatreya, a talented artist of Kannada cinema, who is popularly known as 'Dattanna', has been honoured by the Karnataka Film Academy. The organising committee is hosting a special program in this week's ‘Belli Hejje’ in honour of the 75 years old and his work. The event will be held at Gandhi Bhavan, Bengaluru, at 5 pm on July 27th.
Director TS Nagubharana, Sheshadri, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, Chairman, Chinne Gowda, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Commissioner, Dr PS Harsha will be present at the ‘Belli Hejje’ this week.
Duttanna, who has come from a theatre background, s to Kannada cinema and served for 46 years. He has made over 185 films, including 'Explosion', 'Sharavegada Saradar', 'Madhuri', 'Chinnari Muttu', 'Bettada Jeva’, 'Neer Dose' and many others.
Duttanna also has many awards to his name like Karnataka State Film Award for Best Supporting Actor (Aasphota), National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor (Munnudi), Best Actor Award at the Fiji International Film Festival (Bharath Stores).
