Actress Kavya Shetty seems to be on a roll. The actress, who has been busy with films across South, has alreadykavya scompleted the first schedule of her next Kannada film. This as-yet-untitled suspense thriller sees her acting alongside
Vijay Suriya.
Kavya shares, “I am thrilled that I’m reuniting with Vijay after five years. The other interesting fact is that this time it is not going to be his romantic interest.
This is a suspense thriller and he plays a cop. I play Veda, a human rights activist, who is seen sharing screen space alongside him for most of the film. We have finished the first schedule.”
Kavya was seen in her first negative role recently in the Kannada film Lanke and is again doing something different here. “I am tired of doing the usual romantic roles. What I have realised is that these roles that I have been seen in lately have weightage in terms of screen space and also the kind of impact they have on the story. While they might be a little offbeat when compared to the conventional heroine, they have more things to do in the narrative,” she explains.
Kavya says that this new film, which is being shot majorly in and around Bengaluru is going to have a dark grungy feel to it that will make it a treat for the viewers.
