Makrand Deshpande gets busy with two Kannada films

After his impressive performance in the critically acclaimed Kannada film Dandupalya, actor Makrand Deshpande has fast become a favourite among filmmaker in Sandalwood. We recently reported that the actor will play a version of a Naga Sadhu in the Upendra starrer Basavanna. His first look from the film saw him wearing just a basic essential garment while the rest of his body was covered in ash.
The actor has now signed yet another film which stars Pooja Gandhi in the lead role. He is said to play in interesting character in her film Abhinetri. "Makrand's role is very different from what the Kannada audiences have seen of him so far," says a source from the set. Makrand will begin shooting in Bangalore for his role in the woman-oriented film this Monday. Incidentally, this is the second time Makrand and Pooja are working together, after Dandupalya.
