Ramleela promises to entertain
Debutant director Vijay Kiran is very excited about the release of his film, Ramleela, today. A remake of the Telugu hit, Loukyam, Vijay’s film, produced by Soundarya Jagadeesh Films, has Chiranjeevi Sarja and Amulya in the lead, a first time pairing for the two actors. “The banner has a reputation of making clean family entertainers, and Ramleela is no different. As the tagline suggests, this film will be a pakka entertainer, with the right amounts of comedy, drama, emotion and action in it.

Add to that a soundtrack by Anoop Rubens, with songs shot in exquisite locations and we have a complete package,” says the director. Shot with an 8K resolution camera, the film promises to be a visual treat, especially the songs, which Vijay tells us, have explored beautiful locations in Georgia, a first for Kannada cinema. “Most importantly, though, the cast of the film will be a big draw. We have as many as 45 actors on board for roles, both big and small. In fact, even for the smaller roles, we have used known faces. The lead pair apart, we have Chikkanna, Sadhu Kokila, Sanjjannaa, Ravishankar Gowda, Rangayana Raghu, Shobaraj, Ravi Kale, Urvashi, Tulasi and Bullet Prakash, among others, as part of the film, and some of the most hilarious scenes have all of them sharing screen space,” adds Vijay.
