Rishab Shetty celebrates ‘Kantara’ as the film completes 100 days of its release

2022 saw Kannada cinema unleash a cinematic phenomenon called 'Kantara', the action-thriller film written and directed by Rishab Shetty, and produced by the makers of the blockbuster 'KGF Chapter 2'. Apart from sweeping the Kannada box office, the film also performed exceptionally well in the Hindi markets. As the film completed 100 days of its successful run, Rishab Shetty along with the fans of 'Kantara' are beyond stoked with this milestone.
Rishab Shetty took to his Twitter handle to share the posters of his ‘divine-blockbuster’ along with a note filled with gratitude towards all the fans of his film as well as the cast and crew that helped the actor and filmmaker to achieve this feat. He wrote in the caption, “Celebrating #DivineBlockbusterKantara 100 days(folded hand emoji). A film we’ll always cherish, that took us back to our roots and made us feel in awe of our traditions. Kudos to everyone who made it happen!"

The protagonist played by Rishab Shetty, comes to loggerheads with an upright DRFO officer, played by Kishore Kumar. Achyuth Kumar and Sapthami Gowda were featured in supporting roles. The way 'Kantara' blew behind everyone's imagination proved the content is the king to a film's success as unexpectedly the film did phenomenally well in Hindi and Telugu versions too. The new Hindi releases found it very tough to stop the 'Kantara' golden run and fell flat at the box office. With Rishab Shetty's gigantic success, there is a huge expectation for the sequel of 'Kantara' which will be done as said by the makers and collaborate when Rishab Shetty is ready with the script.
