Filmmaker Hari Santhosh is all set to work on a romantic film that deals with puppy love syndrome. This explains the title, Ailu, a colloquialism for someone who is a little crazy. This film will see Rohith and Pruthvi Ambaar as part of the cast and is being presented by D Krishna Chaitanya of Karvva fame.
"We are shooting for this film majorly in London, while around 20 per cent will be shot in India.

Puppy love syndrome has not been explored much in cinema. I was fascinated by the subject, and ended up doing a lot of research," shares the filmmaker. The film is slated to be shot sometime in September or October.
Incidentally, the film is being shot in Hindi first and the makers will then make the Kannada version. The Hindi film stars Tanuj Virwani, Sapna Pabbi and Tridha Choudhary. "While the idea is the same, the approach and sensibilities will be different in both the films," explains the filmmaker.
