The winners of Times KAFTA will be announced today

The third edition of Sandalwood's only awards for film technicians, Times KAFTA, will be announced this evening. There are 16 categories that have been announced, with the nominees out on social media. The winners will be felicitated in an event this evening and simultaneously the names will be announced on social media after 6.30 pm.
The presenting sponsors of this year’s edition are Pushkar Films and Paramvah Studios, while the associate sponsor is Acme Movies International.The sponsors are delighted that they could be associated with this event that cheers for and recognises the heroes behind the screen.
Actor-filmmaker Rakshit Shetty says, “None of the other award functions recognise technicians. Times KAFTA does that — they go into details and try and award almost every deserving department of filmmaking.”
Producer Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah says, “There is no exclusive award ceremony for technicians. This is a really good initiative. It is only because of the writers and technicians that a good film is produced, so I’m glad we’re recognising the best of them tonight.”
Producer Harish Sherigar, too, shares the same enthusiasm. “We are a young production house, but we have understood that filmmaking involves many departments. The other big award functions recognise just actors and a few other departments. This is why I felt compelled to lend my support to this,” he says.
