We've known veteran actor
Arun Nalawade to dabble in all three means od entertainment - television, films and plays. The versatile actor will now have a new feather in his cap, that of a director.
Nalawade turns director for Tatwa, an upcoming Marathi film, where he also plays the role of a sculptor.
The film, produced by Dr Sharayu Pazare, is a social-drama that talks about the journey of a girl from the Patharwat community.
While the lead is played by
Gauri Konge and Sanjay Swejwal, Nalawade's role is that of the girl's mentor.
Talking about his decision to helm the project, Nalawade said, "Initially, I was just going to act in the film, but when the producer, Dr Sharayu Pazare asked me if I could also direct it, I gave it a thought. The film's script is fresh and the title literally translates to 'breaking barriers'. It inspired me to take up the challenge to direct Tatwa."
Given his acting prowess, here's hoping Nalawade will direct more films in the future
