Marathi cinema's eminent filmmaker Sumitra Bhave breathed her last yesterday (April 19) in a hospital in Pune. She was 78. Sumitra Bhave was suffering from lung-related ailments for the last two months.

Marathi cinema's eminent filmmaker Sumitra Bhave breathed her last yesterday (April 19) in a hospital in Pune. She was 78. Sumitra Bhave was suffering from lung-related ailments for the last two months.
Several Marathi celebs have taken to social media to express their grief and their fondest memories of the National Award-Winning filmmaker.
Amongst everyone, Marathi star Akshay Tanksale who had worked with Sumitra Bhave's 'Phir Zindagi', took to his Instagram handle to tribute to late Sumitra Bhave ji, by sharing a throwback still from the film.

Sharing the picture, Akshay wrote "फ़िल्म ”फिर ज़िंदगी” ♥️ Director:- सुमित्रा भावे. मावशी मी खूप भाग्यवान आहे की मला तुमच्या बरोबर काम करायची संधी मिळाली.♥️"
