Amol Palekar set to return to his first love

Not many might know, the veteran actor-director who has given us memorable Marathi films such as 'Samaantar', 'Dhoosar' and 'Anahat', has studied fine arts at Sir JJ School of Arts and was passionate about painting before he became an actor.
In a recent media interview, Palekar revealed his plans of getting back to his old love of painting, full time.He also plans to hold an exhibition of his paintings in Mumbai soon.
Palekar's last Marathi release was 'We Are On - Houn Jau Dya' which had an ensemble cast of actors Ashok Saraf, Nivedita Saraf, Vandana Gupte, Dilip Prabhawalkar, Makarand Anaspure, Manoj Joshi, Satish Alekar, Ajit Kelkar, Satish Pulekar, Upendra Limaye, Pushkar Shrotri, Anand Ingale, Ramesh Bhatkar, Shreeram Pendse, Gautam Joglekar and Sandeep Pathak.
Well, we hope that Palekar's love for painting doesn���t affect his interest in acting and making films and he keeps churning out more wonderful movies in the future as well.
